Many airlines offer hotel combination packages. Traveling to specific destinations can be provided at deep discounts for flying with a specific airline and staying at a specific hotel. The discounts may be much better than if you obtained separate reservations.

     Don't always accept the combination packages as the best deal. Sometimes the rates are lower if purchased individually. The airfare rates are typically lower during fare wars than the combination packages. The hotel rates are typically lower when dividing the cost among more than 2 people as opposed to individually paying the combination rate.

     Check the travel section of the newspaper, travel magazines, Internet, travel agents, or contacting an airline or hotel directly to compare prices.
