Weight loss products found in the stores may not necessarily be the most cost effective choice to control your weight.

Check the labels for the diet powders, shakes, and assorted products found on the shelves comparing them to the labels found on cereals. The same or comparable vitamins and nutrients, calories, and fat will be found, but at a big difference in price. For instance: a 15-ounce container of Slim-FastŪ powder provides 15 servings per container at a cost of $5 - $7 per container. The cost per serving ranges from $.33 to $.46. A box of Special KŪ or Product 19Ū cereal can cost as low at $1.50 (when on sale and with the use of a coupon - which occurs very often, the Slim-FastŪ is rarely on sale). The cost per serving is as low as $.14. If you are not satisfied with the amount of vitamins/minerals in the cereal as compared to the Slim-FastŪ then consume a multivitamin. A CentrumŪ tablet will cost from $.04 - $.06 each. The result is a cost of at least $.20 per serving for cereal and a vitamin as opposed to upwards to $.46 for the Slim-FastŪ shake.

Utilize the same example for any other diet product(s). Continually applied, the savings are tremendous! Consider purchasing similar items at a warehouse club which can save even more since you are purchasing in bulk.
