Staple products should not be purchased at full price.

Sales and/or coupons are offered for staple products (such as: soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, napkins, tissues, etc..) very frequently. Almost every month, items you use regularly are offered at a discount and are accompanied by a manufacturer's coupon. When a product is on sale, purchase several weeks/months worth taking advantage of the savings. Be sure to use a coupon, if available, for additional savings. Check the advertisements received in the mail and found in the newspaper.

NOTE: Always compare prices because different stores may offer the same sale item at a different price. Also, an item on sale may not necessarily be the best price. A smaller size which is not on sale may actually be cheaper. Many stores will even honor the competitor's price..
