Taking advantage of credit card grace periods.

Take advantage of the grace period from credit cards by altering the payment date and spreading your spending among several cards. Contact the credit card company asking for the due date to be changed. Have the due date for one card set to the 5th of every month, the other to the 15th, and another to the 25th. Delay a payment and maximize the grace period by using the card whose closing date has most recently passed. For example, would you rather charge an item on the 7th of the month on the card whose closing date is the 15th requiring payment in a few days/weeks or on the card with the closing date on the 5th delaying the payment for over a month.

NOTE: This idea is not meant as a means to spread your debt among several cards, but as a means to relieve and avoid interest payments when you are low on cash.
